NHBA PARENTS' CODE OF CONDUCTI hereby pledge positive support, care and encouragement for my child participating in Newport Harbor Baseball Association (NHBA) by following this Parents' Code of Conduct:
I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches and officials at every game, practice or other NHBA event.
I will place the emotional and physical well being of my child and other children ahead of my personal desire to win.
I will insist that my child play in a safe and healthy environment.
I will support managers, coaches and officials working with my child in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free from drugs, tobacco and alcohol and will refrain from their use at all games.
I will remember that the game is for the players and not the adults.
I will do my best to make the NHBA experience fun for my child.
I will ask my child to treat with respect other players, managers, coaches, fans, umpires and officials.
I will ask my child to treat with respect NHBA's facilities and property. I will do the same.
I will help my child enjoy NHBA's experience by doing whatever I can, such as being a respectful fan, and providing other volunteer services.
I agree to honor this NHBA Parents' Code of Conduct.
In the event that I should violate this Parents' Code of Conduct I understand that pursuant to Newport Harbor Baseball Association's By-laws Article III Section 4(a) I will be disciplined in any manner as the Board of Directors should determine including, but not limited to, suspension or termination of my membership with Newport Harbor Baseball.
If a adult is ejected, he/she will be suspended for 1 game (cannot attend). If that same adult is ejected for a 2nd time, he/she will be suspended for 3 games (including practices). If that same adult is ejected for a 3rd time, he/she will be suspended for the rest of the season.
